Since you've so kindly given me this personal response, let me give you a little background on this purchase. In 1978, my girlfriend returned from a European tour which included an extended stay in Ireland, a country that we both love. She brought with her a matched set of silver Claddagh rings for the two of us. We were married two years later and wore the rings as wedding bands for years. Over time mine broke and hers no longer fit her. This year on March 22nd is our silver (25th) wedding anniversary, and we decided to replace our favorite rings in honor of the occasion.
